------------------------------------------------------------
Size:

*Approximately 3 1/4 inches wide (using a C Hook for petals). [Left flower in picture.]
------------------------------------------------------------
BEFORE STARTING: Please take the time to read through the pattern before beginning to work. I have tried to bold areas that I think are easily overlooked.
------------------------------------------------------------
PATTERN:
Middle of Flower (Circle)
Use a C Hook

Beginning Chain: (Leave a three inch tail before starting your chain) Ch. 4 - sl. st. to form a ring.

Row 1: (Don't turn) Ch. 1 - 6 sc. into the ring - sl. st. into first sc (6sc)

Row 2: (Don't turn) Ch. 1 - 2 sc. into each sc - sl. st. into back loop of first sc. (12 sc).

Row. 3: (Don't turn) Ch. 1 - 2 sc into back loop of each sc - sl. st. into back loop of first sc. (24 sc.)

Row 4: (Don't turn) Ch. 1 - 1 sc into back loop of each sc. - sl. st. into back loop of first sc. (24 sc.)

Fasten Off (Leave at least a three inch tail).
---------------------------------------
PETALS:
Use a C Hook or Size 7 Hook.
(Worked from the outside of the circle going in. )

Row 1: (Leaving at least a three in starting tail) Sc into back loop of any sc in fourth row of circle. [14 ch. - sc into back loop of next sc (repeat 23 times.)] 14 ch. - sl. st. into back loop of first sc. (If you are going to use a different color for the next row of petals then fasten off).

Row 2: Sc into front loop of sc in fourth row of circle (you just used the back loop in row 1 of petals). [10 ch. - sc into front loop of next sc (repeat 23 times.)] 10 ch. - sl. st. into front loop of first sc. (If you are going to use a different color for the next row of petals then fasten off).

Row 3: Sc into front loop of any sc in third row of circle. [6 ch. - sc into front loop of next sc (repeat 23 times.)] 6 ch. - sl. st. into front loop of first sc.

Fasten off. Leave a three inch tail.
------------------------------------------------------------
Notes:
Weaving in the ends: The three inch tails are necessary because the floss is very silky and unknots very easily. Tie the ends together, then use a bit of fray blocker or glue to keep the knots together. Weave in the remaining part of the tails.

Blocking: The flower will look like a scrunched up mess when you are finished crocheting it. Use your fingers or the end of a crochet hook to straighten out the petals. The floss bounces back really quickly. You may also block it by spritzing it with water and using T hooks to pull the petals out.
